In about five layers of clothes, I painted this en plein air in January! It is the River Thames at Cliveden Reach in Maidenhead. It is surprising how much colour there is in winter. As I was painting, a mole started moving in a mole hill near my feet! Sadly I didn’t get to see it. - Sarah Luton
